Duct Cleaning

Dust is made up of dirt, dander, hair and even dead skin cells.  These particles make their way into your vents and build up along the sides.  Dirty air vents can increase allergies, dust in the air and can even have mold growing in them.

Clean Vents, Clean Home

As homeowners, we spend a lot of time making sure our homes are clean and well maintained.  Air vents are an important part of maintaining a clean home.  Dust and particles gather along the vents and can be distributed throughout your home when your furnace or air conditioner is running.  Duct Cleaning can improve the cleanliness of your home and help with allergies

How Do you do a duct clean?

Before we begin, your venting system will be scoped with a special camera to identify any special concerns.  Once that is completed, our technicians will remove and clean your vent covers.  Then, utilizing our rotobrush system, a long hose with rotating brushes is inserted down into the duct work.  The hose is attached to an incredibly powerful commercial grade vacuum which draws in the particles as they are loosened by the brush.   Once the duct cleaning is complete, we will again scope your venting system to ensure your ducts are completely clean and sanitize your ducts..

To schedule your duct clean today, give us a call 719-551-2232 or schedule online www.socoheatingandcooling.com/schedulenow

what is duct sealing and how can it help

Tuesday, August 24th, 2021

Duct Sealing

Did you know that the average home loses 20-30% of the air that is supposed to flow through your vents through cracks and holes in your duct work? That means the money you spend to heat and cool your home is seeping through the cracks! Not to mention the extra dust and allergens drawn into these cracks. Not to worry we can help!

Symptoms of Duct Leakage

One of the most obvious signs of duct leakage is uneven heating or cooling. When ducts have cracks and holes, much of the temperature controlled air is lost creating hot and cold zones throughout your home. This can cause the furnace or AC to work harder and can increase your costs wasting up to 30 cents for every dollar you spend! You may also noticed excessive dust, since vents drawing air can pull in dirt and debris through the cracks.

How Duct Sealing Works?

Our Aeroseal machine injects a non-toxic, water-based formula into your ducts. As air moves through your vents, the formula seeks out leaks and gaps and seals them. Our system test will show drastic air movement improvements and you will see a difference right away!

To schedule your Aeroseal estimate give us a call or schedule online at www.socoheatingandcooling.com/schedulenow

What Is A Tune-Up?

Tuesday, August 24th, 2021

Tune-Ups

Once a year it is recommended to have annual maintenance done on your furnace, this maintenance is referred to as a tune up.  The tune-up has 2 functions cleaning and inspection.

Tune-Up Cleaning

Your furnaces worst enemy is dirt!  Even though your filter does a good job of protecting it, even the most adamant filter changer will want an annual cleaning.  Without it, dirt and dust can build up around components, making them work harder than they should be and causing them to fail more frequently.  for maximum efficiency and increasing the life span of your furnace it is recommended to have it professionally cleaned once a year.

Tune-Up Inspection

If your furnace is relatively new, you aren’t likely to have many problems.  After a few years, normal wear and tear occurs causing failure in minor components and as it ages more major repairs may be needed.  A tune-up includes a top to bottom inspection.  This means your technician will test and measure the performance of both minor and major parts and be able to notify you of any performance issues, before extreme weather strikes and leaves you in an emergency situation.

With regular maintenance you can make sure your HVAC system is operating at peak performance and know you are ready for whatever mother nature has in store!  To schedule your tune-up visit www.socoheatingandcooling.com/schedulenow

The Halo: Eliminate 99.9% of Viruses and Bacteria In Your Home

The Halo: Eliminate 99% of Viruses and Bacteria In Your Home

Did you know that most people spend more than 90% of their time indoors and that indoor air is often 10 times and sometimes even up to 100 times more polluted than outdoor air? Take control of your indoor air quality (IAQ) now by reducing pollutants that can contribute to headache, fatigue, lung irritation and foul odors.

Invented to recreate nature’s process of purifying the air, it’s like bringing fresh outdoor air inside without ever having to open your windows. The award winning HALO in-duct air purifier reduces odors and air pollutants by purifying every cubic inch of air that your central air conditioning system reaches.

It is effective against all three categories of indoor air pollutants: Particulates, Microbial and Gases. You can now reduce common allergy triggers from particulates such as pollen, mold spores, dander and dust. Thoroughly tested to reduce airborne and surface bacteria & viruses, such as MRSA, e-coli, and Norwalk, to name a few.

And, say goodbye to odors from cooking, pets, dirty socks, diaper pails, and musty rooms.

Benefits of the halo include:

  • Reduces dust, dander, pollen, mold spores
  • Kills up to 99% of bacteria, mold and viruses
  • Kill 99% of viruses on surfaces
  • Reduce Odors

How Does it work?

The HALO in-duct air purifier uses Reflective Electro Magnetic Energy technology.  Installed into heating system air ducts, the HALO in-duct air purifier produces Hydro-Peroxide plasma that is distributed through the duct system and into the conditioned living space.Unlike passive air technologies, which need pollutants to pass through the unit for purification or filtration, the HALO in-duct air purifier sweeps through your home actively purifying pollutants at the source. The charged plasma also induces particles to stick together making them bigger and easier for your filter to catch. Hydroperoxides occur naturally in the earth’s atmosphere and are part of nature’s process of cleaning the air.
